The power of continued education is somewhat underestimated by many people. Continued education is not just about improving your knowledge, but it is also about improving your life and your well-being.
There are successful people all over the world who continually strive to educate themselves further. This is not just because they just want to know more, but also because they believe that each and every person can improve in some way. Continued education is just one way to improve oneself.
Continued education is also not only beneficial, but is also a requirement for some professionals. They are required to maintain a certain level of knowledge each year in order to continue working in their chosen field.
Other people choose to continue their education out of interest in a particular topic and may utilize this additional knowledge in the pursuit of a hobby or dream, for example.
The power of continued education is also that when we learn about something, it gives us a sense of achievement in that we have gained new knowledge or picked up a new skill.
An important point to remember with regard to continued education is that the biggest benefit you can gain from the additional knowledge is in the application of that knowledge. It is no good to you if it just sits inside your head and you do nothing with it. This is unfortunately what we see people do almost every day.
There are millions upon millions of people today who have educated themselves to an extraordinary level and know so much, but none of them actually utilize any of their skills in their day to day life. You will be surprised to find qualified lawyers for example, working away in low paying, mundane jobs.
Also, one of the best types of education you have is self improvement education. Learning about how you can improve yourself and therefore you life in each and every way. Many people learn how to improve themselves and the quality of their lives, but few actually see results, and continue on living the same life they led before they learned everything they needed to make their life better.
So whilst continued education is a good thing, applying this knowledge is a great thing!
Continued education is about improving who we are, building on what we know, or to help us to help others.
Whatever your reason for continuing education, there is always something to learn that will benefit you either personally or in relation to your career or other interests. Building your knowledge in your chosen topic can also be enjoyable and rewarding, and is definitely something each person should strive to do.

Using strategic goals to live by is all about choosing to live your life in a way that is in line with what you want to achieve. It is all well and good to set goals, but choosing to live your life in accordance with these goals, can be very powerful.
The key to living by your strategic goals is to be conscious of all of your actions and interactions, and to determine whether they are in line with, or in contradiction to your goals. Will your actions take you closer or further away from your goals?
Everything we do, and everything we say has the power to move us towards or away from our goals. This is why it is so important to choose strategic goals to live by, so that you can apply them in your daily life.
An example of a good strategic goal to live by might be a goal to improve your relationships, where you remain conscious of this goal in your interactions, and therefore act in accordance with that goal. For example, you may have been having difficulties communicating, so by choosing to live in accordance with your goal to improve your relationships, you will take extra care when communicating and put in extra effort.
Another goal might be to further your career in some way, and choosing to live your life in a way that will allow you to interact and mingle with influential and knowledgeable people you can learn a great deal from or you might take up study or other opportunities to help you achieve that goal.
One of the most common goals at the moment for most people is the goal to lose weight. You’ll learn very quickly that weight loss requires a lifestyle change, rather than a specific diet if your weight loss is to be maintained long-term. In order to achieve your weight loss goals you will need to first begin to change your lifestyle, including a better diet and regular exercise to help you achieve this goal. Living your life by this strategic goal will enhance your overall health and well-being in the long run.
Whatever your goal, it is important to incorporate them into your daily life, and increase your consciousness around your daily thoughts and actions and consider how these are affecting your ability to move towards your goals. If they are sabotaging them, then you need to change your actions and thoughts. Otherwise, if you are living in line with these goals, then you will begin to see your goals manifest over time.
Using strategic goals to live by is a great way to change the way you live your life, and very soon you will begin to see positive manifestations as a result of your new actions.
Baby Steps to Success in Life

In the media, we regularly come across stories about multimillionaires or billionaires from all over the world who have achieved outstanding success. For most of us, achieving such a phenomenal amount of success is something we believe is way out of our reach in this lifetime. In fact, many of us live our days on the treadmill of life, rarely achieving much and living a life feeling dissatisfied and unfulfilled.
What most people fail to realize, is that many of the most successful people in the world started off very much like you and me. In fact, many of them never completed their education but yet against all odds, achieved more than they could have possibly imagined.
So if they can do it, why can’t you? This is where all of the possible reasons why you could not ever achieve that level of success is beginning to run through your mind. Self-doubt takes over and we continue to live the way we always have.
But what if there was a way for you to achieve success in life? What if it could be done in baby steps? The good news is that it can! And it begins by following a specific process, as follows:
First, it is important to establish what your biggest goals are. Identify them, and write them down. Writing down your goals, is one of the most powerful ways to set the wheels in motion to help you achieve your biggest goals. This goal can be as big or as small as you like, and will be discussed further in a moment.
It is now time to establish where you are now. By establishing where you are now and where you want to be, you are able to establish your starting point from which to work toward your goal.
Brainstorm all of the things you need to do to get from where you are now, to where you want to be. This will help you form your plan of action. If possible, list them in order of when they need to happen. This will allow you to work out what is to be done first, second, and so on.
From the previous point, you will see you have listed several items or tasks you need to complete in order to achieve your goal. Each item on this list can now form a much smaller, individual goal.
Now that you have several small goals, it is time to give yourself a timeframe in which to complete each goal. It may be that each individual goal will take a few days to complete, and others may take weeks, months or even years. But this is okay, because you are aiming for the main prize at the end.
For the longer term goals that are going to take months or years to achieve, you can break these down even further by setting milestones. For example, if your overall goal requires that you need to study part-time, your milestones could be broken into terms or semesters, or even the amount of time you plan to put in to your studies in order to achieve that goal.
Now that you have your goal established, have broken it down into smaller chunks, and can see what you need to do to get there, it is time to take action. Nobody achieves success without taking action. Success will not just land in your lap - you have to go out there and get it.
Breaking down the goal is probably the best and simplest way to help you achieve success. It helps to reduce the overwhelming feeling you experience when considering your long-term major goals, because you are focused on the smaller, but just as important goals instead. As you achieve each of your smaller goals, your level of confidence will improve and therefore increase your overall motivation to achieve success.
The Real Definition of Success

So what is the real definition of success? Sometimes success is difficult to define, and what one person considers a success, another person probably does not. Defining success is therefore not necessarily a simple as you may think.
According to the dictionary, success is defined as “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors.”
So what this means, is that whatever you have done, has to have ended favorably for it to be a success. Now this opens up the door to many interpretations of what success really is, and for the most part, success is very likely based on individual interpretation. For example, an unemployed person may perceive somebody with a job as successful, however if that person hates their job, then they may not really see themselves as a success.
The easiest and most effective way to achieve success in any aspect of your life is through the setting of goals. The reason for this is because by setting a goal, you are also specifying something that must be achieved before you can call it “success”. This is why goals must be so specific and measurable. Achieve your goals and you will be a success, as long as they are in tune with what you want to achieve in your life.
People tend to be harsher on themselves than others are of them, and may not consider themselves a success when those around them do. This could be because they have extremely high standards, or it could even be that they have low confidence and self-esteem, and feel that what they do is not good enough. But there is no denying the fact that once a goal is achieved, then success has also been achieved where that goal is concerned.
Regardless of how successful you may be, there is also nothing wrong with continuing to strive for even more. This does not mean that you are not successful yet, it just means that you have more things you want to achieve in your life.
What is also important to note here, is that even a person living in poverty has the ability to achieve success in many areas of their life, because their achievements are all based on their perception of what they want to achieve in their life to make their life better.
If you achieved what you set your mind to do, then from that perspective, you are a success. On the other hand, you may not have achieved all of your goals, but your observers may still consider you a success. And you know what? You can too, because even though we don’t all achieve all of our goals each and every time, we do learn from the experience and we also grow while on the pursuit of our goals.
The real definition of success is ultimately based on how you perceive your achievements but can be seen as a genuine balance of achievement in all areas of your life that are important to you.

What can a college degree do for you? I suppose it all depends on what you want to achieve. For example, depending on the type of college degree you want, a college degree can offer you numerous benefits.
Once you have a college degree, more opportunities are opened for you, which in turn can improve your chances of seeking gainful employment or take your step closer to achieving your career goals.
Having a college degree does not only offer the benefit of having the degree, but it can also help give you a personal sense of achievement. It can give your self-esteem a great boost if it has been lacking somewhat because the achievement of any goal is by far one of the best ways to boost your confidence.
In these current times where the global economy is struggling, having a college degree may give you some advantages over other possible candidates when you are applying for work as well. A potential employer is more likely to hire somebody who has shown the commitment to gaining a college degree, and possessing the required skills for the job, over somebody who hasn’t. This is probably one of the greatest advantages in gaining a college degree.
And what about your current career? If you were to get a college degree, would this improve your chances of promotion?
